Yes, on Android and iPhone, in the most common browsers. On 4G/5G the test uses data from your plan (it can go over 100 MB on fast connections).

Yes. Walls, distance from the router and other nearby networks can reduce speed and increase ping variation.

Is a cable better for testing?

To know the speed arriving from your provider, a cable is more accurate. To know how your day-to-day is, also test over Wi-Fi.

The internet is shared: time of day, other devices in use, the route to the server, and Wi-Fi itself change constantly.

It's the time a request takes to reach the server and come back, in milliseconds. The lower, the faster the response.

What's the difference between Mbps and MB/s?
