Packet loss
Is your internet losing data along the way?
We send 100 small requests and count how many come back in time.
Why it matters
With videos, the app keeps a few seconds of buffer and resends what was lost — you don't even notice. In games and calls there's no time to resend: lost data becomes a robotic voice, a frozen picture or a "teleporting" character. Learn more in what packet loss is.
